Whew, being a full-time professor is murder! So, after being on hiatus for the entire academic year, I finally have time to revamp my website and to upload many of the photos that I have accumulated through the year.
In January, my boss and I took a group of 11 Sacramento State students to Matsuyama (Ehime-ken, Shikoku) for a short-term study abroad/exchange program with Ehime University. I am still going through the numerous photos I took there (I had to clear my 16GB stick twice) as well as going through photos from my phone and point-and-shoot pocket camera.
In April, the Japanese program at Sac State put on its annual "Japan Day" festival. In addition to doing the candid shots around the festival, I was also in charge of running the kimono photo booth. For a $2 donation, visitors could dress up in a kimono of their choice, I would take their photo, and they would receive a print of it. (Thank you, Canon portable dye-sub!) They could use their own phone and take a photo for free. A big thank you to the Sacramento State Department of Design for letting me borrow the light blue backdrop. :yay:
Summer break is finally here! And I think I am finally getting into the summer rhythm.
Regarding the website revamp...
Prices and availability will still remain the same as they are currently. Framed and matted photos are available on a first-come, first-served basis; when they are gone, they are gone. If you want one that sold, just drop me a line and I will try to duplicate it as best as I can (subject to frame availability).
Larger size items and things I cannot print in house can be purchased through my DA Prints account. Every photo on this site is available as a print, and on other items as well.
10,000 Greetings is getting a Facebook page. Facebook is where you will see all my note card series (a series is 4 cards with a particular theme--ex. holiday, city, night, etc.) I will update this journal when it goes live.
